pulling the head

Unhappy pulling the head

i could really use some help from someone who has done this before. if anyone has the service manual or good instructions on how to do this i would be more than willing to pay for them,

Drain the water,undue all bolts and fittings that would stop you........no tricks really,,JUST use new bolts on the way back togather

Be careful. I understand that the head is very heavy. I don't the exacy wieght but the I do know the head weight of a comparable motor. The Ford 4.9 I6 gasser (my old truck), the head on those weighed in around 85 pounds.

yes luckly i have a forklift, i have heard the head can weigh around 200 lbs.

You can basicall see everything that needs to come apart except the fuel return line banjo bolt. It's in the center of the head on the back side at the fire wall. You'll never see it, it's a "by feel" bolt.
