Hello Garbageman and welcome to the site. It is a good idea to fill in your signature with the info on you truck (year, model, tranny, and upgrades) so people who know your truck can help.
I’ll take a general stab at it until we know more about your truck. Will you still have the stock torque converter? With that 5th wheel it would be a good idea to upgrade it with a stronger unit. Here is a little reading on that: http://www.suncoastconverters.com/dodge.html
What is included with “Banks power and gauges” setup?

you asked for it, banks is over priced, cut and dry. you can get all the power and economy for about half the price of the banks stuff. the high ram inlet is a joke, quick turbo is a waste of money. do some searching and reading and you will learn much info on what is best for you and your truck.

Welcome to the site and enjoy everything about your rig it is a fantastic thing. post your info about your rig in your user profile under signature.

As to your question about banks Alot of people have found different ways to spend thier money than with banks. Banks does do some good work, thier kit is just a little on the proud side of pricey, technology for building power in these engines passed up banks along time ago. I know when i was looking at thier kit that is the info Piers and TST not to mention alot of the guys on here gave me. They had found ways to bomb these engines getting more power and being able to use it than what banks was offering at the time.

I wasnt going to rip on them that hard since you have made such an investment but thats the long and short of it. I put a #10 Torque plate $225, 4" exhaust $300, K&N $100, upgraded intake turbo fan $200 and a 16 cm housing $75 (when ordered with the plate). Last time, with the plate 3/4 forward, i had this thing on a Dyno i was pushing 314 hp 727 ft/lb and i could use that on most hills loaded without having to back out of the trottle. alot less $ than banks and more power too in the real world, they inflate thier numbers will forced cold air dyno tests amongst other things.

If you can cancel the order yet you might try. these guys here can save you a chunk of that money with a few tips and the proper parts probably close to a grand and they will point you in a direction that you will be alot happier with the power results. From somebody who has friends who have the banks kits and they always seem to be watchming my tailights and cursing thier investment

Definately the Torque converter and a valve body on that auto would be good investments in the near future.

See ya out there

I agree, banks is over priced and you can get alot more power gains with that money. Look at an edge EZ or comp box, depending on how much power you want. There are other types of boxes out there to like a super chip, diablo power puck, and many others. I would make sure that the banks kit is a fueling box though, these advance your timing to get the max performance and efficiency out of the motor. As far as the shift kit, I am not real familar with it but the big problem that the autos have is that the TC slips from not enough pressure. Increasing the pressure helps but the TC really isn't that strong and getting a better one will really help so that you will never have to worry about the tranny again. Good luck on the mods.

Glad to hear that we were able to save you from a costly and less than satisfactory investment.

Like gunracer said post some good details about your truck in your signature, gear ratio tire size if you upgraded, wheelbase and mileage probably wouldnt hurt. within a couple of days youll start hearing back from everybody with both advise and reviews on what they have used, everyone is helpful and friendly.

Thats what i did when i built mine posted a couple of pages got some really good advise and some non conventional thinking applied a little of both and bam im tickled to death.

Do some searches on the forums. You wont have to dump a pile of cash at once you might do this in incriments. your choice there. I will tell you that a upgrade to your tranny is going to number 1 or 2 on the list especially if you pull and plan to turn up the ponies.

Good luck

The order in which I would do things.
1 Gauges so you can get a base line and protect your truck.
2 Any tranny work you want done based on your horsepower, and usage (towing, racing, or both) goals.
3 Exhaust and air intake upgrades according to horsepower goals.
4 Then the fun part, all the power you want.
If I’ve missed anything someone will add to this list. Good luck and post more questions as needed.
Just my $0.02 worth.
