Proper IP Pressure Tranny number
I tried the search on this subject and had no success, partially I think because the search function would not let me use IP instead of Injection Pump in the search.
I have 2 questions:
2001 24 valve - What is the proper injection pump pressure?
Can any one tell me which automatic this truck has?
Thanks...gary

Your truck has a 47RE auto tranny. Do you need to know what pressure the IP pumps to the injectors? That, I'm not sure of, but think it is well over 10,000 psi.....maybe someone else can chime in on that. Why do you need to know that? Do you mean what LP fuel pressure should the IP receive? If so, 5 psi is the minimum WOT pressure. You should have 12 - 15 psi at idle and about 10 - 13 psi at cruise.

Cool! Good luck.....are you taking a fuel pressure gauge with you? What year CTD? 00 and later you can check the codes on the odometer display by cycling the key 3 times. I would highly recommend a code check before you buy.
