Price on a New Cam Sensor

Went to the local dealer today to get a cam shaft sensor and they want 85 dollars for one. I will be changing out my vp44 this weekend and wanted to do some preventative mantaince. Did anyone else pay this much for a cam sensor, if not were is the best place to pick one up.

Try the Cummins dealer if you have one local, seems like it was $65 for mine IIRC.

Mine was $58 at local Dodge dealer. And yes, it is a PAIN to do. Especially if you have big hands, arms, belly....
I had my son get under the truck and put the tool on the retainer while I worked the ratchet from the top. Worked out pretty good for us.

As a personal choice, I don't put any parts on my truck that are not Cummins or Mopar.

I'm the same on major stuff, but I don't think its gonna make that much of a difference on a cam sensor. Specially for 40 to 60 dollars cheaper
