preasure problem or not
preasure problem or not
recently i discovered a leak in my trans lines they rubbed together for five years not knowing this. so i ivestigated it and discovered a hole in each one. cut bad section out and replaced with 1/2 inch heater hose. will that mess with preasure or not?
No,,, once the tranny fluid leaves the tranny, going to the cooler,, pressure is no longer an issue. Only thing that matters is restriction. once the fluid comes back from the cooler, it just dumps into the pan.
That's why it's so important to check your tranny temp BEFORE the cooler,,, preferably in the hotline going to the cooler.
Otherwise, you'll only be measuring how efficient your cooler is, and not how much heat your tranny is making.
