Pre Heater Solenoid Relay
Pre Heater Solenoid Relay
Looks like the replacement solenoid switch assemblies are out of stock across the country. One company said several months. Wondering if anyone has a solution for a different replacement other than the factory part? For now I'm thinking of wiring in a momentary push button switch to get me through the winter.
Not sure, is it the 2001 model year they went to applying 12v to power the relay instead of dragging it to ground? In any case, look to your local auto parts store, all you need is a Ford starter solenoid, if yours drags the solenoid to ground to engage, you need an isolated solenoid, if it applies 12V, the solenoid base is your ground.
Other places are snowplow supply stores, etc.
