Power Steering Pump Replacement

My power steering pump is leaking severely and I need to replace it. Geno’s Garage lists an up-graded replacement and recommends flushing the system prior to replacing. Question - How do you flush the power steering system and what do you use to flush it with? My truck has the hydro-boost brakes and I would also be replacing all hoses and fittings that accompany the pump. I appreciate all the input you can afford.

Remove all the fluid you can from the housing, put fresh in, take return line off and point it into a receptacle, start truck, run almost out, repeat until you have clear fluid.

You probably wouldn't have to go that far since you are replacing everything but the Hydraboost and the steering box, but it wouldn't hurt to flush it right to start.
