On a hard fast trip today with a total of 550 miles running a little on the high side. I have started loosing power about 200mile back . engine has normal maintaince and 120k miles. Hope it's a fuel filter but to late tonight to check. Filled with fuel 250 back, small drop at about 50 miles and the drop in power and speed has increased ever 50 miles since. Sounds like a classic filter problem but I am on the way to a funeral and need to cover all bases. Will change filter in the morning and also add treatment for water although have had no indication of water. I have been lurking here and this looked like the place for real information .... many thanks

 

I would start with a filter change and check your LP pump pressures. I hope you have a guage installed in your truck...

You might consider doing a VP pump volume test too... Check for air leaks in the fuel system.

While your at it... Check for error codes too...
