you would probably get some answers if you would list what vehicle you are talking about

It might just take more than an hour or two for someone to see your question. I hope you didn't rush the work on your truck like you did those posts.....

Now, the sound, whistle or does it sound like the brap brap of exhaust. I would be willing to bet you have either a blown exhaust/turbo gasket or one of your intercooler lines is leaking.

Do you have gauges on the truck?

Cracked exhaust manifold?? Not uncommon.

Sounds like could be more than that though.

Did you do a compression test? Did you use same thickness head gastket as original you removed? Any scoring on cylinder walls noted when you removed the head? When you start engine any blue or white smoke out exhaust? Did you recheck valve clearance after engine cooled down?

Hit us with an attitude and it will come right back at you! It took me a while to figure out that lack of grammar. I had no idea what you were talking about. Explain it in clear, concise terms. Wait for people to have a chance to read and respond. Do NOT cop an attitude! Rules to live by my friend.

well im sorry everybody im just stressed out because iv been on this for ever trying to figure it out. okay so my pistons and all that good stuff was fine no scoring or issues there. yes i took my time makeing sure i wouldnt mess anything up. at idle or when reving it truck sounds wonderful. but when i drive it and its under a load it has no power and exhaust does go brap brap almost sounds like a powerstroke. also its a 5 speed and turbo doesnt seem to wanna build boost until like 2600-2700 rpm's when it usually is around 1900-2000 rpm's. checked all gaskets, headgasket was the same size. i do not have any gauges or anything like that yet. truck ran fine before i did it now its not running so great.... thank you guys for any input id appreciate it. did not mean to pop an attitude, just really stressed im sorry.

I would start with fuel suppy first. Remove line at injection pump (supply) run hose to a container (one gallon) bump starter and let pump run until it times out. Fuel in container should be min of 45 ounce and no air bubbles, if not you have restiction or fuel pump issue. Did you check for codes? All sensors are connected? No leaks in the intercooler hoses? Did you remove injection pump when you had head off? You need to monitor sensors and check for codes to diag your problem properly.

APPS is the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor. Its up on the vp44 Injection pump and reads gas pedal location to adjust fueling for rpm requested.
It can go out and cause hesitation and misdirected fuel delivery.

Adjusting the valves isn't too hard. Search here for procedure.

Just throwin stuff out there to see if you can track it down, but it sounds like fueling issues to me.
