I know it has probably been asked plenty of times on this forum but I want to know what is the most cost effective way to get to the 300-350 HP range. I really need the truck to be dependable and not have to worry about breaking things because of the upgrades. I have a 2000 ctd 4x4 with an auto tranny that has 180K. It has a new tranny, fuel and lift pump. Thanks for the help.

 

can't do it without tranny upgrades. The stock tranny doesn't like extra hp.

 

How much HP can the stock tranny hold? And if I go to by a new tranny whats it gonna cost me and how much should I expect to spend?

 

try some stage 3 injectors ,your trans. should be able to handle the increase if you don't push it too hard
