P0236 and P0237

I'm hoping some of you fellas might be able to help me out. My truck seems to be missing some of the time, the boost is erratic and it seems sluggish on the bottom end. I read the codes with my Superchips programmer and got these two. I'm not sure if I should just go ahead and replace the MAP sensor or should I be looking for leaks or a bad connection. Thanks for the help.

Check all the electrical connectors first.

You can remove and clean the MAP with spray carb. cleaner.

Thanks for the suggestions I'll give them a try when I get home tonight. Anybody know what size socket I'll need to remove it?

map is a 27mm if I remember right......are you running a boost fooler? have you messed with the wastegate? if you have goofed w/wastegate and don't have a fooler....that could be tossing the codes, the programmer lacks a fooler.

I haven't messed with the wastegate since i've had the truck. There is a Banks box underneath the dash that I'm assuming goes with the Stinger Plus and I have a Superchips tuner but I haven't had any of the programs in for the last 3 or 4 months. Thanks.

I removed the MAP and cleaned it and the connections with electrical cleaner today at lunch. I didn't see any build up on it at all but cleaned it anyway. I cleared the codes and dove it down the road a couple of miles and it seemed normal. I saw about 32 pounds of boost and no codes as of yet. I think the sensor is metric but I used a 1 1/4 deep-well socket and it fits pretty close. Also I noticed there are wires spliced into the MAP plug. I'm assuming they're from the Banks box. As you guys can tell I don't know as much about my truck as I would like to but I'm starting. Thanks for the suggestions. Hopefully the problem is solved.
