P0123 and P1694?

I just got my new VP on and it fired right up no problem. I went for a test drive and cruised for 5-10 minutes and it died. I had to crack an injector line to get it to start. It's showing PCU 1693 0123 and 0216 ECU 1693. I'm hoping the 0216 will clear itself because the pump is new at least I really hope so. What if the pump was bad out of the box? This is how it acted when the old pump died but the 0123 and 1694 are new.

oh man, are you serious? That hurts! I was tempted to tap it but didn't for this very reason. The pump came from industrial injection via performance diesel warehouse. OH well Stuff happens

This is some serious bad luck. I do have a mild fuel leak at the line into the canister but fuel pressure never dropped so it shouldn't have affected anything. It did fire right up this morning tho...

All's well. I had a fuel leak that was letting air into the pump.
