P 1693 code
Could someone explain a little to me about this code (P1693). In the code list it says -- DTC Diagnostic Trouble Code: Fault code set by control module when sensor data is not as expected-- Could this be anything serious? Thanks

It's just a companion code.
Codes are thrown in a variety of computer modules.
Engine Control Module, Primary Control Module, Body Control Module, Transmission Control Module, etc.
The key on/off/on/off/on method only sees the ECM and PCM though,
and even then, not all the codes.
When a code is present in one of the modules, the 1693 is thrown in either the ECM or PCM, to tell you there is a code present somewhere in the system.
