The overdrive switch on my 01 is a pain to get engaged. Before you had to push it really hard to get it to engage. I took it apart, sprayed some wd-40 in there to clean it out, worked great for a few days, now it's not working at all. Could this be a bad push button switch on the selector? Is there any way to test these things?

 

Im not of much help here sorry, but does your overdrive still work? I tried tracking down a new button for my girlfriends 98 ram 1500, dealer only part!

 

You can buy the switch from Rock Auto . Com. The switch worked great for a couple days after cleaning it and spraying it with WD-40, but now I can not get it to come on.
