Overbuilt Cooling System
On the way home today I noticed the temp gauge was running a little high.
Outside temps in the low to mid 60s typical DC traffic.
Not to the orange but nearing the upper white line.
Also notice tranny temps in the 250ish range.
Got home with the temps going no higher...... as I pulled up to the front of the house I remembered that I still had the "Cold Weather" cardboard blocking the whole radiator except for the 5" hole in the center.
Pulled the cardboard out and ran around the block, engine temps back to normal before I got 1/2 way around.
Totally blocked radiator, and STILL not overheating.
Try THAT wit' 'yer Ford.
