Oil Pressure Sensor going bad?
Oil Pressure Sensor going bad?
About a year ago, I had my truck towed to the dealership due to no oi pressure. It turned out to just be the oil pressure sensor. It was replaced and all was well. However, the past two days while driving the check engine light will come on and the oil pressure will hit 0. This will last for up to 20 seconds and then the check engine light will go off and the pressure will return.
We have mechanical oil pumps right? What are the chance that one will go out. I have not really heard of anyone complaining about one dying. But than again, in one year , what are the chances of another sensor dying?

The CEL is most likely coming on because of the senor reporting data that is out of range. I would bet you either have a bad connection or a bad sensor. Check the connection for corrosion. If the connection looks good, just replace the sensor.
