I was on the way home tonight (in the rain keep in mind) pulled out at the light easy and there went that bang in the trans I've been DREADING. This happened about 2 years ago, below is the destruction from that wreck. I ordered a new countershaft, 3rd gear, upgraded mainshaft, syncro's and bearings. When I ordered the parts I asked about a better alloy gear and countershaft. NO SUCH LUCK Then when I got the parts 3rd said made in India and I bet the counter is no different. That was all that was available. Does any one know of better parts out there yet.

 

Put magnet or three in bottom or on PTO plate if equiped. RTV will hold. Will catch bits of metal generated. This metal works way to gears and bang. Or improve driving habits.
