Np241

I've broken the back half of my t-case and am gonna be putting a new rebuilt one back in. First does anyone know of any reason why I couldn't put a DHD t-case in vs the DLD? Also I've been talking to orielly's and they can order a remanded one. Is there any reason not to get one from them? Secondly the said they need to know the markings on the tag. He said it would be two letters after np241. What code would I need to get the DHD?

I'm not 100% sure, but I thought the dhd had a different output shaft. I personally wouldn't have any problems getting a reman or used unit, they are generally pretty tough as long as they don't see high HP sled pulls for the majority of their life or were run low on oil.

I think the 2 (actually 3) letters after NP241 are DLD for light duty and DHD for heavy duty. HD might have PTO capabilities as well now that I think of it. Whatever you get make sure you get the right set up for speed sensor, some have something like a 2" hole in the output bearing housing for it, mine doesn't have it.
