Has anyone ever heard of a vp44 making a noise? When I am
towing, pulling a long mountain, about half way up the hill I will start getting a noise
that is hard to explain. Almost like a wheel bearing but will go away if I let out of the
throttle. When I go into the throttle again it will slowing start to come back.

sounds like afe is doing its job. 80% of that deisel knocking sound is from the injection pump firing under high pressure
