Noise from bell housing area
Noise from bell housing area
This is a question from a 99 5.9 Gas engine...don't hate me for it.
There are some very knowledgable people so that's why I'm asking... Are these flex plates known to crack? It's a 5.9 gas withe the 46RE tranny. 135k miles, not the original trans, this one is painted blue. I'm taking it out tomorrow night and if there is a common failure, I'm going to try to have the parts on hand so I can put it back together.
It's a rotational noise that changes with engine speed. Load doesn't affect it, just RPM's.
Thanks.
