I have a weird probem goin on my dodge.

I am religious about waiting for the wait to start light to go out before i start it.

recently It has done a weird thing where it will just not start. It seems like it ocurs if i crank then let up early, then try to crank again, then it will not start.

I will go through the wait to start again and it still wont start. I will then crarnk and crank and crank. and nothing.

If i wait about 10 mintues and try it again it starts right up.

does anybody know what would cause it to not start? ive got good fuel pressure. always runs at 10psi.

any suggestions of things that would make this occur. The only codes im throwing right now are crank sensor codes

p1963 i think.

 

Get is scanned at a shop or auto zone since you have the 1693 code. It could just be the crank position sensor is shot or your vp could be goin out, but most likely cps is your prob.

 

would a bad crank sensor cause hard starting? this is the second one ive had to replace in 30k miles.

 

Did you make sure you are getting fuel to the engine? Crack the nets on the fuel lines going to the injectors and make sure fuel is showing up there.

Won't turn over without Fuel,Compression and Air.

Look into it.
