No Power when Cold

When first started in the morning the truck starts up as usual with no smoke. but does not have any power. (Fuel Filter changed) Once truck runs for 15 minutes or so and builds up engine heat it operates fine. Truck will not do this again until it has cooled off. However last week my Son ran into some cold weather on the way back to Bremerton WA. and it did the same when the outside temp was in the 30's

Any suggestions. ?

Yeah, you may want to try cleaning it with Carb cleaner. While your at it clean the map sensor, too.

Thanks for the replies. I was leaning toward this problem, But I have limited knowledge of these engines.

Check codes. Mine did this for about 2 years. It finally died and it was the VP-44. Has run great for over 200K since.

Clean IAT sensor with brake cleaner or electrical contact cleaner for sure. Be certain that it is dry before you plug it back in, too. I say brake clean or contact cleaner because they do not leave a residue like carb cleaner.
