New VP44 dead pedal...Pressure ligth flickers

I have a new VP44, and installed Bosch 300 injectors at the same time. My fuel pressure light is flickering when I gas on it, and I got the dead pedal a few time twice yesterday. So cummins sent me a new lift pump today under warranty and I also have a Holley blue pump coming at the end of the week.

Maybe it needs a new fuel filter.

Dude get a fuel gauge. Its more accurate than the light sender deal.

ANyway I did the new VP44 and 100hp sticks and my LP would not keep up witht he power. THe pressure dropped fast. The pump was good with stock power and stock sticks. I have the same PUCk you have and I finally ordered the Airdog 150.

I did not want to risk staving the new vp44 i JSUT PUT IN. The truck runs nice and h ard now and I'm 100% happy.

Good luck.

Had the same problem, went to my local Cummins dealer & bought a new Carter pump. Problem solved. Dead pedal seems to be gone. Even my auto shifts are smoother. Hope that pump keeps putting out the same kind of pressure.

Good luck,
Dave
