Smile New Redhead Steering Box

Just thought I would write this as info to anyone looking for a replacement steering box. I had purchased several "rebuilt" boxes this past year...the last one from Napa and none were any better that the one I took off my truck. Everything in the front end was replaced this past year but I still had excessive steering wander. I called Redhead and liked how they do their rebuilds so I ordered and installed this weekend. This box has completely fixed my steering problem and I would recommend them to anyone!!

Is your new Redhead box a 3-turn then?

I've been thinking about them also. My last install was an A1-Cardone that came with a lifetime parts and labor warranty. It is developing play in under 10,000 mi. All previous AGR boxes have been flawed = overpriced garbage. I'd like to know how the redhead holds up to the miles. How long is the warranty?

Redhead comes with a 1 year warrenty. It is a factor box that they completely rebuild. I also asked them about a short turn box and they recommended the stock turn box. They told me that they perform better. Does not change anything with regard to the DSS which I already had. With the machine work they do any the DSS on at time of install, I'm hoping I don't ever have to put on another box. At 285.00 after core exchange, it's not a bad deal.
