Did you install a fuel pressure guage or test the fuel pressure?

no, very limited funds and I needed the truck, I did notice after that auto zone has a check guage for like 44 bucks when I just went to have them read the codes.
so, when I checked codes(key method) got above codes, I guess I cleared them out by holding the break pedal down cause autozone only got the p0216 code however they got it twice????dont get that, but I dont know if I cleared all the codes cause I didnt recheck I didnt know I could clear any.
when I checked them it said pcu gave me P0500 and P1693 then pcu done, ecu, P0230, P 0216 then ecu done, this is where I held down the bread pedal. went to autozone had them read them and they got P0216 and P0216 (dont know if they got one of the pcu and one off the ecu or what) but any ways had them clear them and check, drove around for abit went back no codes. so I'm confused. I will check it out again tommarow after the truck sits because that is when my issue is worst. but what are those codes?

ok found some
P0500 vehicle speed sensor malfunction
P0230 fuel pump primary circuit, transfer pump circuit out of range
P0216 injection timing control circuit malfunction, fuel injection pump timing failure
no idea on P1693 found some where on here it is a companion code
could the bad LP turn the others on??

500 means your ECM is not getting data from your speed sensor, when it knows the vehicle is rolling from data from other sensors.

1693 means that there's a code stored in the PCM - the "other computer" onboard - you can probably ignore this.

230 means your lift pump and/or circuit isn't functioning, and likely isn't feeding fuel to your IP. It might be unplugged, shorted, or just bad. If the pump is stock, it's possible that the check ball has broken out and is "bouncing around".

216 means that, because your lift pump isn't fueling your IP, the VP-44 set a code because it was fuel-starved and the timing may have gone out of sync. If you're lucky, the IP is OK, but you need to get the lift pump going before you drive the truck again. If you're not lucky, the IP likely will have to be replaced.

Solve the lift pump problem, clear codes, watch for new 216 code from the VP-44 and replace it if necessary, install a fuel pressure gauge.

had them cleared at autozone this afternoon and drove home checked key method and nodda, hope it stays that way or gives me a P0222 or P0223 and for another $160 can get rid of the problem. I figure I'll know for sure in the morning cause its worst when the truck is cold.going to clean the IAT and the MAP before I start it. pretty sure theyve never been out.
