All it does is ground the wire. Sounds like you probably have the wrong wire or else a bad ground. What color code is the wire you used?

What switch is this? A TC over ride switch? There is not enough info in the post. Could you please explain a little more or even take a picture if needed.

I did the thing just like on the tst web site, I've checked my ground I've checked my switch the wire is B11 orange with black chaser I've doubled checked that and nothing, is there something that could be wrong with the converter that is keeping it from locking up?

Did you remove the trans relay and install the jumper wire correctly? From what i gather form that article is, if you don't add that 12 volt jumper the switch won't work. And you haven't mentioned if you have done it yet.

It will still work if you don't do that but the trans will go into limp mode and start in third gear. That's the only reason for the jumper. I think you have the correct wire and if you KNOW your ground is good the only other thing I can think of is a poor connection somewhere.

I had a crimp connection on the low beam on my '67 PW that suddenly didn't pass current. It was under the hood and when I was checking why my low beams were not working I saw a little spark from the connection. Tightened her up with the crimper again and she work fine. Had worked for about six years prior to this with no trouble at all. Good luck. HTH.

Did you make your connection on the driver side wire harness, or the passenger side wire harness. Do it at the passenger side, and make sure you pull the trans relay and install the jumper.
