need HELP

My post https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...k-t310947.html
is not getting any answers and my bizz is threatened. Should I have to pay more than the original estimate to fix tappet leak? they said my vp44 could have just died and I needed to pay more. They put it in and same symptoms. Should I have to pay more? forgot to add i told them i needed truck back in 4 days or I would reschedule and it has been 16

Read your story, sounds like a nightmare. Hopefully they have verified that all the cylinders have good compression; just wondering if they could have dropped a nut or something into the air intake and the engine swallowed it and did some damage.

Once they get it running well, I would consider having them take the new VP back off and reinstalling the old one.

Mechanics can either make or break a situation. ALWAYS use a mechanic someone you trust trusts. Hopefully your situation works out for the better.

I'd walk in there with my attorney and sieze my vehicle and get it repaired somewhere else, maybe even the dealership....

You should have never counted/expected on anyone you didn't know to get anything done on time in this day and age....
