Im thinking of getting the nadp ( north american diesel preformance) transmission, the heavy hauler one but i havent heard much feed back on it. has anyone ran it? also how does it compair to the DTT transmissions. the one from dtt would be there 400hp one. they both see to be able to handle the same power but dtt has a 5yr 150km vs the nadp has 3yr 60km. if you can let me know what ones you have had luck with or problems that would be great.

 

Can only comment on the DTT as it's all I have ever had.

The only problem I have ever had is that I lost lockup due to a broken boost valve retainer. This was not DTT's fault as it was a stock part, but they repaired it, put a new heavy duty clip in and all has been well ever since. Definitely the best purchase I have made for my truck.

i have heard many great things about DTT. the only issue that is holding me back from them is that they dont offer a nation wide.what means i will have to get my truck 4yrs south to there shop if i have a problem. the nadp does so i can get it repaired where ever i am. keep the post coming .

I have the the race series trans in my truck. I have had it in my truck for about a year. I have not had one problem with the trans I am very happy with it. The only issue is in the real cold weather when I put my truck in drive it will stall the truck out. I talked to nadp about it and they said that the stall on the converter is the reason it stalls the truck. The stall speed on the converter is higher than normal. They said it would not hurt anything on the truck. They would change the converter if I wanted to but I left it in. I went with the race series because I take my truck to the drag strip once in a while.

 

I bought my truck with the DTT, $7000 he said he put into it, billet shafts, torque converter, has its own trans shift box, filter for electrical spikes, and my boys is somewhat built but no comparison. Feels like it has maybe six speeds it shifts locks up the tc and then shifts again. I am very happy. ED

 

it seems like both of yours are one step above what im looking at. the race ones are about 7 and im looking at the heavy hauler and dtts one. there both around 5000installed with tax

 

I've had my DTT trans. in for 4 1/2 years and it has been the best upgrade to my truck. They profiled my truck for an EZ and 80 hp injectors. I drove up from central Calif. to B.C. to have it done at their shop. I had some reservations going that far away but it has been flawless.

I had this DTT trany for about two years now and would do it again in a minute. It was built in Abbotsford BC and shipped across country to Ontario and we installed it. Its what they call the livestock tranny meaning it dosent shift too harsh but firm. Made this truck a pleasure to drive.....

 

DTT is by far the best company i have ever delt with

 

have the super duper dtt one in my truck and ive been hard on it for the last year in a bit and it still wont break, feeels amazing compared to the stock junk

 

I had the livestock version on my '99. Great tranny. I've driven a 48re DTT upgrade and it's even better.

 

I have a NADP 450 transmission. Its not the full race one. I came with a tripple disk Suncoast TC and a B&M deep pan. I have had good luck with it and no problems. It sure is nice to have while pulling a trailer. It was a toss up between NADP and DTT. I chose NADP because I live only a hour away from Edmonton. I have a friend who has the race version and he said that in the winter on snow and ice, the tires will spin when putting it into drive or reverse. I run Amsoil in it as suggested by NADP and Suncoast.

 

are the bd tranny and the ddt made by the same guys since there in the same town
