When pulling out of my driveway it feels like I have no power steering at all! At low RPM's I get the same thing. When cruising it's not too bad. I check the fluid more often than most so I wonder if something inside the pump is broke or worn. Anyone else have this problem?

Well, I've never changed the fluid. I haven't had the truck for quite a year yet so I really didn't think about that. What is the best way to go about changing the fluid?

 

sucking it out with a turkey baster or hand pump suction type. then refill, dirve for a few thousand miles and repeat. you need to find out whats wrong, but changing the fluid couldnt hurt. BTW 2qt is plenty to do 2 changes, i used valvoline synthetic ps fluid.
