That is combined city/highway.

I am getting about 16.5 - 17 MPG now with the 315s. I have about 7800 miles on the truck. This is the same mileage I was getting with the 265s during the summer.

18-19 mpg empty at 70mph, flat country. This was during the summer and fall. Mileage now would be lower due to temperature and fuel(#1 diesel here).
athompson-How do you like the MT/R's? Was thinking of getting either them or the BFG Mud-Terrain once the Michelins wear out.

I,m bone stock, with 15,000 miles on mine. The best I,ve got so far was 21.5, normally around 20. I do have a pretty light foot though. Also I noticed steady improvment for 10k miles and any time I towed much it would take a a little jump. Just got back from Disney world driving 70 to 80 mph and got about 11.5mph. Winter fuel seems to hurt a little.
Got 3800 miles on my 2002 3500 Regular cab ETC/DEE 4x4, it gets 17.5 combined. Figure when it is broken in I will get around 19 combined. I will be happy with that. My 2000 ETC 3500 Quad cab 4x4 4.10 auto got 15-16 combined. My 2002 only weighs 6820 lbs, my 2000 weighed 7400 lbs. I would also say weight will make a big difference.

I log every tankfull of fuel I purchase and every trip I make for income tax reasons and so I have a pretty good idea of the mpg I get. As the signature shows I run an 02 4X4 dually 6spd HO quad cab. 30,000 km on the odometer. The truck is outfitted with a steel tool box mounted on the rails and some steel supports and equipment racks inside. My quad lives in the back. The truck weighs 10200 lbs.

The gallons are Canadian and winter fuel from Mohawk.
Sustained 75mph - 16.5 mpg
Sustained 60mph - 19.5 mpg
Mixed city and short highway trips - 16 mpg
City stop and go - 15 mpg

I've gotten used to the shifting in town. On the highway, I work it up to 6th, set the cruise, and that's it until I catch up to the ricers in the left lane who raced away at the last lights. I'm thinking really loud air horns now. Can't wait for the warranty to end and put some injectors and a box in this beast.

Pat

I had MT/Rs on my last truck and was very disappointed with the Michelins on my new truck. I hated the Michelins so much I didn't even let them wear out first.

In fact, when the Super Swampers wear out on my Sami, I will probably put MT/Rs on it.
