a dually will get 15 at that speed

I get 20 to 21 with my dually on the highway all the time. If you go over 65 expect less. I don't go over 65. I got 19 for 500 miles with 3000 pounds in the bed last summer.
I also have 4.10 gears
It all in how you drive. If you race ricers you get 15 or less. If you do burnouts you get less besides wear out the tars.
Oh ya Mine is manual calculated. I don't even use a calculator.

My 2002 4X4 3/4 ton auto 3.55's gets 18-21 at 75 mph, depending on wind and all that good stuff. With a slide in camper, and my trucks weighs in at 10,007 pounds, i see about 14 at 70 mph.

Dont you call me a liar. My truck does get 24-26 mpg running at 70. if I go over 70 like 71 then the milage goes way down. I generally run with cruise set at 69 so that I do not go over 70. when I hit 75 milage comes back up some. This truck has done this since I got it. You do not know me and have no reason to call me a liar.

I guess you know this though as you have been around for a while.

MPG on 2002 with 3.55

I have a 2001 with 3.55 and 6-spd 4x4 and with a built in mileage computer so i have checked mileage a bunch of times at fixed speed over (almost) level ground at a constant speed

at 50 mph i get about 25-26 mpg

55-60 mph about 20-22

at 75 ( measured it last summer in North Dakota on interstate) about 17 mph

this is either running almost empty or with a small cap on the back-constant speed with cruise control

i am about to put in a slide in camper in back and hope it doesnt hurt mpg too bad

wind resistance with a cab over camper will kill your mileage

Nope sorry the only smoke i blow is when i shift.

Like I stated earlier it does do a few weird things.

Upto 69mph or as long as it does not go over 2k rpm it gets 24-26mpg. the variance depends on temps.

between 70-74 mph i get maybe 15 mpg

between 75 and 84 it goes back up to almost 20 mpg

then I tried setting cruise at 85 before and I need a tanker truck followiing me to really go anywhere.

Just because an individual is new to a forum, doesnt mean that a new member doesnt know much. Someone can have extensive knowledge about these trucks, have owned more than a few, but not be a member here, then sign on. Just because they are new to the forum, that doesnt make them uneducated. On the flip side, I've seen long term forum members on other sites give out incorrect information to other members, so someones tenure at any given forum doesnt neccessarily mean your going to get correct information from that person.

I'd plan on more like 19-20 max, considering it's only 2 wheel drive, if you keep it under 70mph.
(actually, on a dually that is 4 wheel drive )

If you go 75 the whole way, it'll drop like a rock to 12-13mpg.

Training wheels? What the? That's a good one.

For what it is worth, I can get 20mpg with my "training wheels" but only at 60-65 mph. But I have a 6-speed, not an auto.
