Ouch! that's going to leave a mark. Not sure how things work down there, but you might want to have your speedo calibration varified, use the Smarty to add some additional mph to the speedo. All's fair in love and speeding tickets!
I got pinched last year going to Bowling Green with Tiger Rag, 85 in a 65. Went to a local calibration station with Smarty calibrated speedo. Ticket was ruduced to improper equipment.
Just a thought.

Thanks, but have discovered it's just a money factory for the counties around here (This was Oklahoma).
Easy to get 'deferred ajudication' if you pay the fine. Keep your nose clean for 90 days and state/insurance co never hears about it! Have moved all my testing to Texas for a while!
More than 30 over and it's jail and reckless driving and loss of license... so either officer believed me or did not want to mess with paperwork.

Must be the season. I have (or had) a clean record, last commercial ticket was in 1980, no accidents, preferred insurance rates. Popped over a short hill in Tallapoose Georgia, got a phone call that was real important just as I crested the hill, did not brake enough, 58 in a 35 on my CDL. Serious stuff when you carry your own commercial insurance. So far a lawyer has cost $575. Too big a ticket not to fight it. And I never speed with the truck, just screwed up for 1/10 or 2/10 of a mile.

And I got on the Autobahn several times. Since I don't live in Germany I have a speed limit too
130 km/h (81mph) but sometimes I drive in Germany, but the places where you can go as fast as you like are getting harder to find. I do cruise at 100 mph up there, the reason is that the tires are rated for 100 mph and I wouldn't want to try to catch my truck with a blowout at higher speeds.
I know that my truck will bottom out the speedo if necessary. But it's a scary ride with 255/85R16 MT tires.

Saw a special on the History Channel about the history of the Autobahn. Construction used is/was amazing....
but traffic is a real problem these days in most areas, I guess!
Was going to apologize for hyjacking this thread...but just realized... I started it!

I've driven the Autobahn when I lived in Germany. It was rare to be able to go full tilt, but with the clunker I had it didn't much matter, 180km/h was top speed going down hill. We drove from Germany to Italy, the longest trip of my life. We spent 5 hours sitting still on the Autostrada sp? in 90 degree heat.
Coming down out of the Austrian Alps was scarey, I think we had the car a bit over loaded, the brake smell was bad.

you can do a lockout conversion for about the same price as the wheel bearings. If I still own my truck when the bearings go you can bet I'll go this route.

Too late for me.... but good to know!
I replaced both front bearing units... as PM.... due to many miles on dirt/gravel roads! Solved my problem.

If you have a cad ( center axle disconnect ) right stub shaft and inner shaft replaced by solid axle. CAd actuater removed, plate installed.
Left side keeps OEM axle, unless you opt for bigger axle conversion.
The Hubs ( and oem bearings ) are replaced by old style spindle and hub with , greasable bearings, and manual lockers.
