Map sensor bad?
Map sensor bad?
I keep getting the 0237 code (map sensor low voltage) and today it threw the code and put me in limp mode for a while but then started running fine again (without shutting the truck off). I have cleaned the Map sensor and checked plugs, etc and all seems fine. I have a boost fooler on it also. All gauges are normal with no excessive smoke. What else should I check before I start throwing parts at this thing?
I too have had that problem. I had the banks stinger plus and have gone through 3 module upgrades yet the problem remains. My check engine light would come on at low engine rpm usually around cold startup. Always was low map sensor voltage. I removed the banks stinger plus including the big head turbo so now I am stock except for the banks exhaust and the BHAF and haven't have the check engine light yet. Perhaps it is the boost fooler. On mine the culprit seems to be the power add on stuff.
I forgort to mention that I'm also stock except for the injectors. I just keep the Superchips for reading/clearing codes and for a little fun every now and then. My tranny doesn't really like the SC. I hope that it's the Map sensor because I have one on the way and would hate to be replacing parts that don't need it.
Also, it's been fine for about a year running it like this until now.
