That looks like the MAP, There is a red tab you need to pop out and then you can press the clip to release. Easiest done with belly laying on the valve cover from the front if your right handed it can be tight.

Once the tab is released a quick pinch and wiggle and it will fall right off. Look at your new connection it should have the same red tab.

Good luck.

well the way i understand the instructions it says to remove the wire harness from the sensor so i was figuring i had to remove the black plastic wire harness from the grey sensor, it seems the edge plugs into the map sensor then the old harness into the edge . might be easier to unplug the map then the harness--

I got confused by your last post. Did you get it working? Yes your edge plugs into the map on the block, the sensor does not need to be removed from the block, and then the supplied wires plug into the stock MAP plug in a chain.

HTH if your still working but hopefully your out enjoying your new found power.

well i got the black plastic clip off the back of the grey sensor but now it seems to that the 3 wires are in a white plastic plug and im not sure if its just tight or its not to be removed, it looks like its in there tight and i dont want to get rippin on the wires and wreck the whole shebang, whats a new map sensor worth anyway?

Sounds to me like you pulled the connector apart. I just pulled the clip and the plug comes off. You plug the Edge's connector onto the sensor and plug the plug your trying to remove into the harness. If you having this much trouble, it sounds like the connector may have melted. I've pulled mine off recently to clean the sensor with no trouble. I don't know what your running into but it's not right.

The second sensor is probably your IAT. The one in the photo IS the map sensor. If the plugs don't look the same, it's probably because you ordered the wrong chip.

MAP and turbo boost sensor are one in the same. MAP = manifold absolute pressure, or a pressure sensor.

Take a photo of how the plug looks now and we can tell you whether or not you pulled the plug apart on accident.

Hope that helps,
Shawn

Its a nuckle buster & an arm twister. If you haven't figured it out yet try this. Look at the plug on the edge it may be the same thing. Note there is a little red slide (at least on the map plug) use a 2"+/- metal screwdrive tip reach in and push that slide toward your left. Plug should come right off no resistance.
You can see the map easly- not so the IAT which is just under the engine hoister.

Wish I would have read this earlier and I would have snapped a pic for ya, I just took off my ez on my 02. Sorry to say it took less than 30 seconds. I just lift up on the red tab away from the sensor the gray connector you press in and wiggle off. The Edge then plugs into the map/boost sensor and then the stock sensor wire plugs into the new harness. The data link is just below and in front of the fuel filter. Your data plug should be a 3 flat plug, remove the cap and plug the other end of the harness into that. I'm not sure if your tapping the wire or not so I'll leave that to someone else.

Do snap us a pic of what your doing, you do not remove any wires from the plug ends. If they don't fit your edge is for the wrong year.

Good luck.
