Lost Acceleration while passing traffic!
Re:Lost Acceleration while passing traffic!
Hi folks,
New to this site. I'm having close to the same problems as your describing. I have done the recalibration however my problem still persist. Ran codes and got "Fuel injector circuit malfunction" or something to that effect. Would a faulty APPS give this code as well? My problem is happening anywhere from initial taking off to around 60 mph. It has not happened at speeds higher. It does not happen all the time however when it does and I can't get it going by letting up on the accelerator I can put the truck in neutral and turn the truck off and then restart and I have power again untill it happens again. Please help!!!!

Re:Lost Acceleration while passing traffic!
Your symptoms are what mine were like. Another one was no power off of a start, which was scary with oncoming traffic bearing down. My new pump has ~5K on it and works great. I spent a lot of time and money over three months in trouble-shooting denial. Look back at my posts from mid April through July. IMO, the 0216 code means new pump in your future.
The above is a quote from a post I made on the TDR. Are you guys checking for codes? If you get 0216 (Injection pump timing failure) like it says above, you're probably gonna need a new VP44.
