I have pulled some not so smart ones either, but as long as he did himself he was looking out for the pocketbook. Be glad he is mechanically apt, he has probably saved more than that in household repairs over the years. And now he knows even more about his truck. I would say it was a success.

Just remember to take all this in to consideration when it comes time for you to pick a wife. There's more to life than a pretty face and a cute back side. You need to marry your best friend (preferably a female). With time the face gets wrinkles the backside sags but a friend last forever.
