lift pump failure symptoms?
lift pump failure symptoms?
i have a 2002 2500 qc 4x4 6spd
99500 miles.. i had the turbo replaced at ~ 75k other than that i have had zero issued with this truck. i want to take it to my dealer and have them do a run through before the warranty expires.
i have an oil leak somewhere near the power steering pump area ( it is motor oil )
i also want them to look at the lift pump, but i need to know what the symptoms are before i take it to them.......also, what other things do i need to as them to look for?
thanks, chris

this dealer is good.... he has replaced my turbo, injectors, inj. pump, etc on my 2003, knowing that i had a box on it.....he has taken real good care of my. so i don;t see any reason for him not to this time.

UPDATE:
sent the truck to the shop for the oil leak to be replaced, and asked them to check any other problem areas......... we discussed checking the lift pump and ijnector pump......about 2 days later they called and said that the pressure #'s are ok on the lp, and they will be fixing the oil leak only, i said ok, call me when ready.....
next day they call and said that they went ahead and put in a new lift pump, but not the in tank version......said they have so many probs with them anyway, that they would just change it....so i went to pick it up, and come to find out they fixed the oil leak, change lift pump, and no charge on warranty. i thought i had to pay a 100.00 deduc., but they did not charge me one......
