Liberator Tires from Wally World

Just put some on my truck this weekend. Besides the idiots only pumping them up to 35psi all around everything went well. Thought, gee the ride is nice, these may work out well considering they were half the price of the stock Michelins I took off, until I hit a round-a-bout and goosed it a bit to get ahead of another car, and whoa....there goes the rearend. I only have a VA box so I'm not pushing lots of power, and I'm sure I'll still get better traction in the weather than I did with my almost bald Michelin's but just a warning, they definetly don't have as good dry traction as the Michs did.

The good part, now I think I have more power as they spin a bit easier...I can't see these lasting as long though

I havent had any experience with them on heavy trucks, but on a 1/2 ton they are a good tire at a very good price. They do well in winter time, and ride smooth as silk. Seem to last a long time also.

I also just put a set of liberator A/T on my 01 last week. Lifetime balance and rotation, 50,000 mile warranty, warranty station in every decent sized city around. Also 150 to 250 less than the competition. I know they are not made as well as the others, but the warranty should cover that. Friends of mine have used them in same use as I will, with good results. Time will tell.

I've had great luck on cars with their Douglas brand touring tires, so I wasn't afraid, just posted to warn folks who can't regularly burn rubber, with these, you can so be careful out there. Still waiting on rain and the rest of that winter crap to see how they'll do there.

Dont Dog the Libbs

I have had them on my truck for about 40K miles now, and they still have a good 10K left, if i can keep them rotated... ive had no trouble with them off road, nor on road, just keep up with them...

Gotta remember new tires will be slick feeling for about the first 500 mile to heat cycle them and get the mold release off the tires.

Perhaps that is the issue, as they did wonderful in the rain yesterday and this morning. Held better than the old ones. Don't think I'm ******* them, I was merely pointing out a difference I noticed. They look great, good warranty, and were 1/2 the cost of the originals, I'm all for 'em!!!

My 265s are "E" rated, and they have smaller as well.
