Leaky fuel bleed valve

Good afternoon, and Merry Christmas,
I have an 01 2500 Lariat with about 171,000 miles. This has been a great truck for the last five years and nearly trouble free. Yesterday while out finishing the Christmas shopping I smelled diesel, and checked under the hood. The F/I bleed valve on the side of the fuel filter was dripping at a fairly constant rate. I lifted it (got a nice flow) and jiggled it and it quit dripping, for a minute.
Here's the question. Is there an easy fix? Can the valve be repaired/replaced, or is it the entire filter canister? Are there aftermarket parts or do I need to source from Dodge?
Thanks in advance for any info you guys can share.

Have fun
Rufus

Seems like I picked one up at Cummins NW. Think Geno's might have been less money though.

I got out there with a light and it seems the bleeder is attached with four small screws. I'll take it off tomorrow and see it the Dodge house up the street has one. Maybe I'll get lucky and it'll be a plug and play.

Thanks for the link Cougar. Also thanks for the idea on the plug.
I went to the tool box, got a piece of fuel line and installed the plug like you suggested. Parts from Geno's on the way - valve plugged - no more fuel on the ground - Merry Christmas.
Thanks again

Have fun

Glad you got it fixed

I wish I had seen this earlier since mine did it as well a year ago. I just pulled the bleeder off and apart, took all the o-rings out and matched them at the hardware store. Reassembled and no leaks.
