Question Leaking rear axle seal

My truck is a 2002 HO with a 6 speed and Dana 80 rear. My question is how difficult is it to change the seal. I've worked on cars before but never have taken a Dana 80 apart. From the searches I've done, it does not appear I need any special tools. What are the torque specs for the lugs, axle caps, etc. I plan on replacing the bearings and seals on both sides, drain and refill the diff as I imagine it may have never been done. Any suggestions on and what type gear lube, the truck has a limited slip diff in it.

Speaking of brakes, I searched ebay and found some slotted and vented rotors with zinc coating and pads for both front and rear for less than 300.00. The local auto parts store is getting 150.00 each for the rear rotors and 70.00 for the pads. On the surface the price is right, but would this be a case of getting what you pay for?? Anyone ever purcashed any of these and if so what was your experience??

The seal is easy to do, just pull the axle and pop the seals out and put new ones in.

Not quite that easy, you need one hella big socket, can't remember the size but it is big, bigger than anything I own.

If the 01's are the same as the 06's, piece of cake. You will need a seal puller and a 1/2" socket set, std. and met. I can't remember the size sockets off the top of my head. Obviously you need to jack the side up that's leaking and remove the wheel. Remove the caliper and caliper bracket. Next drain the differential but don't remove the cover, this will help keep debris out, then remove the axle. Remove the safety pin, nut, spacer, and outer bearing. Keep the bearing soaked in gear oil. Take a rubber mallet and tap the hub off of the spindle. Pull the old seal and install new one. Then reverse procedure. When you get to the nut, finger tight and a touch more is all it needs. Here are the specs:http://dodgeram.org/tech/specs/Ramspecs.htm
