Kickdown RPM Range

Hey,

I have been trying to search but came up with no luck, and I read somewhere that the WOT shift from 2nd to 3rd, or 3rd to 4th, can't remember will be made around 2800-3000 RPM (OEM Transmission). Now I just finished installing my Valve Body from Dave for the second time and it seems to be running well. However my WOT run wont shift until 3100RPM. So I'm wondering if I should be concerned and adjust the band some more at the 3/5nut and torx bolt? Or if it is fine the way it is? And when you turn the torx bolt in or out, does in make it shift sooner, out make it shift later?

Thanks

Dinner

I believe your trying to adjust the WRONG thing, sounds like you are trying to adjust the BANDS and not the kick down, Kick down is the cable up at the Injector Pump.
I dont think 3100 is bad mine is all stock and shifts at red line too

I think the adjustment needs to be made at the throttle valve cable (tv cable)
It is connected to the apps, under the cover. there is a lot of info out there on making the adjustment.
I know it is in the install instructions for my BD valve body...

Ah crummy. I was getting things mixed up, sorry. Now that I am not confused....what will adjusting the band do? I already have the kickdown adjusted right now.

Thanks!
