Intermitant lack of power
Have a 99 that has been experiencing the same intermittent power losses after running for an extended length of time. I have replaced the fuel (lift/transfer) pump and fuel filter. Those others that said they replaced the fuel pump, were you referring to the injection pump or the fuel (lift/transfer) pump. Does anyone know of any checks that can be made to the Throttle Position Sensor? This is becoming an aggravating problem and I would like to troubleshoot and fix myself if possible.
I just got back from a Dodge dealership that was recommended to me and he said "no way" to the TPS theory...He said if it was the TPS it would register a code and mine doesn't.
He said since I have already replaced the lift pump, it's probably being caused by a weak injector pump which will just keep getting worse until it quits....

Update
Just got mine back from the dealer today... it was the Injector pump... bummer.. It left me stranded in an intersection to get onto the freeway.. not a fun place.. Started with an intermittent loss of throttle control, that got worse fast after a week.. and "IF" I knew then what I know now.. I would have replaced it before it quit on me. Just to save the hassle and the tow bill . But that is just my opinion..
