Injectors
Re:Injectors
I'll have the dealer check out the timing, but I don't think that's the problem. If it would be hard to start all the time I would think that would be it, but it isn't constant. Only the poor milage is constant.
I'll have it checked though.
Thanks

Re:Injectors
Since this is posted in the 24v forum, I am guessing that it isn't the timing. Sounds like Merricks problem going into Munice actually. when he runs it to the red, does it cut out?

Andrew
Re:Injectors
Fuel pressure? Have you checked it? Your symptoms sure sound like a loss of fuel pressure on the supply side. The 24 valve trucks with the electronic VP44 injection pump can't slip timing like the 12 valves can, the 12 valve trucks have the timing gear for the pump on a tapered shaft, the 24's have a keyed shaft.
Other possibilities: faulty ECM or faulty program in the ECM, air in system(example: crack in fuel filter housing, or poor seal on fuel filter gasket for lid )
Re:Injectors
How about some fuel system conditioner? Maybe it will help with your mileage and starting. Have they started switching to winter diesel yet in your area? Winter diesel does not perform as well. Just a few low buck ideas.

Re:Injectors
I was thinking of adding some more injecter cleaner to the fuel. It has been doing this for about 6 months now so I don't think its the winter diesel. Good thought though.
