Idle?
Idle?
What would cause the idle, to stick at 1000, after a 90 minute drive on the highway.
New VP44 and good fuel pressure.
Could it be one of the sensors?
She usually idles at 850.
As this is my first computer driven CTD, (lots of 1st gens), I may have a few questions.
Thanks Guys.

Possible linkage is sticking slightly? can you play with linkage and get it to drop?
Does it drop down on it's own after a bit? Any codes?
Is it quite hot from a heavy pull?

My truck with the HRVP did this quite a bit. New APPS never changed it anything. Different Smarty settings never changed it. When you start to engage the clutch in gear, does it drop right back to where it was supposed to be (800ish RPM)?
idle
Reset APPS, this seems to have helped.
Supply pressure, 13 psi @ idle, 8 psi @ wot.
New pump.
Next, will check the injectors, pop test them.
What else could it be?
Have been asked if this happens, do I have the air conditioning, on?
What would that have to do with it?
Thanks guys.
