I Must be a Moron! Brake ?

Okay I replaced my front disc Brake pads and now my Brake light and ABS light stay on. Any ideas? The Brakes seem to work fine.
Thanks Guys and gals.

You may have to bleed the abs unit.

Scott, did you break the system for any reason? ( open the bleeder valves, replace calipers, etc?

Is yours a 4WABS or 2WABS?

I'd check my wires on the front make sure connectors/wires are not damaged, maybe got pulled? Check the connector(unhook) make sure sockets inside connector are not loose(move back and forth) seen some that get loose and when you connect the two it actually pushes the metal connector back causing no connection. Other than that seems odd if you just did pads that it would throw the light. But as Pat said if you broke the system open or if it is 4wabs or 2wabs, if 2wabs and you did front pads the abs is on the rear and it's just that jerk Murphy messin' with ya.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Red brakelight is pressure in braking system is uneven or low fluid. Yellow light means ABS cannot function properlly due to brake issue or ABS electronics. Get codes read.
