my fuel light dosent come on any more but now i have this code P1682 (Metering Oil Pump Malfunction )what it means

Actually, P1682 is "Charging system voltage too low". This means either your alternator is not putting out the required charge, or your battery temp sensor shut down your alternator because it thinks the batteries are out of the normal temperature range for charging.

I've had the latter situation happen once before when I had a cold start on old batteries after being parked for 4 weeks. Apparently the batteries got hot enough that the computer shut down the alternator. After a restart, everything was back to normal, but the code stays in place for a few start cycles.
