hey guys.

i've got a real bad shake, but it only happens between 40-50 mph range.

the truck has right at 193,500 miles on it, and the tranny was rebuilt under warranty right before it hit 100,000. Its starting to slip quite a bit, and has trouble shifting.

could the shakes be part of the tranny going out again, or am i looking at something else?

I would check all the front end joints first. Ball joints, tie rod ends, hub bearings...

 

Had a friend with a 2001 that had the shakes and tranny slipping. First time it was the bands that needed adjustment. Second time about 3 months later it needed a valve body. The truck had 192000 on it two weeks ago when he towed it without removing the drive shaft. He now has a new tranny.
