I guess today is the day. Hope things go well with the install.

Sept. 11th is early season in one of the zones I hunt. How long do you have to wait?

Success! Hey, if anyone wants to have a race on removing the intake horn, throttle assembly, the outer 3 injector lines, and a vp44, I'm the guy to beat. I think when all is said and done, I installed and uninstalled all of the above at least 4 or 5 times. Maybe more. Once I forgot to install the cps sensor. Then I forgot to tighten the #2 injector line before I put the intake back on. Then I forgot to hook the return line back to the pump. Then I had a leak on one of the high pressure lines at the back of the pump closest to the engine block, had to tear it all down so I could get a wrench in there.

The good news is the truck has more power than it ever has, it isn't leaking, and I didn't throw any tools or shoot holes in anything!

Blue chip claims the X model pump is supposed to give something like 22 more hp, and it really does. Its very noticeable. I can lay a lot more smoke before the turbo lights, and its a whole lot faster accelerating from like 40 to 80. I have not installed my new pump cover yet either, I'm kind of scared to, with a 53 block and all. Probably will sometime though.

Many thanks to you men for the tips and advice, you all really helped me out a lot, and saved me some $$$ too. Very much appreciated.

I used a flexible mirror so's I could see the IP shaft & key slide though the keyway on the timing gear.
