How long do fuel injectors last?

Just a conversation today got me thinking, so I'm wondering

Really depends. Clean, dry fuel and fuel additives are the biggest things that affects longevity.

Assuming they are original, the set that is in the '95 Mack at work, have ~18,700+ hrs/ 800k miles on them. I've had to replace some at 3k hrs before.

So, like I said, it really depends.

Cummins recommends changing/servicing them around 60K

They are Bosch +60 HP blueprinted from BD, I'll call the shop that put them in tomorrow and find out when they where put in
Cummins recommends changing/servicing them around 60K
Servicing them, is that like rebuilding them?

May mean to have them pop tested, to make sure they are within spec. Doubt to many do that, though.

First time I've heard that....what's your source? 60K seems excessive....particularly if that's km. Many members report 150,000 to 200,000 miles without noticable loss of mileage or increase in smoke! On the other hand, Don M. has reported seeing wear (not dibilitating) at 50,000-75,000 miles???
