How do you find boost leak?
Any slick ideas on how to find a boost leak?
Is there any way to 'charge' up the system and find them? I was thinking about taking the tube off my turbo and making a big plug and putting an air valve on it so I can charge it up to say 20 or 25 psi and then I can spray soapy water on the boots and find leaks. My truck seems to release boost after I hit 20 psi now.
Does anyone think that will work?

Look in the tech section under General and there are instructions on how to make one, i used PVC, just took my stock turbo inlet elbow into Lowes and found a pvc piece to fit in it.Plugged it tapped it and put a guage with valve on it.

I made one out of pvc. It works pretty well up to about 10psi but the stock intake tube expands like a balloon and the plug blows off. BE CAREFUL!!!
I need to find a better way to adapt the plug to the turbo.

Ok. I built a tester. Sea Bass is right, once I get to 5 PSI, that POS shots off the turbo. I realy love how II didn't spend the extra money to machine the outside of the intake port. It is rough and won't seal and there is no way to keep that adapter on there. So, the tester idea was a total failure. I got a wrench and tightened every clamp on the system. To my surprise, I could turn the nuts 3, 4, 5 or more times. They were SO LOSE! My problem is now NON-EXISTANT! I can hold 40 PSI now and it runs like a champ again.
Thanks for all your input. The tester is great, but really stinks! I have feeling if I were to get it to 20 PSI it would have thrown the test jig clear through the barn wall!
